Baal was founded by Catalina Carrasco and Gaspar Morey in 2013 in Majorca, Balearic Islands, Spain. Their main focus being on creation and performance through research and experimentation, as well as on provoking social, community, and educational projects.

Baal intents to detach itself from conventionalism, to distil its own language through the exploration of the physical, social and emotional body.

Its pieces are articulated through political and poetic contents, from the observation of society, territory, gender, violence, love and freedom.

Baal is a dance company working on the hybridization of languages, the main ones being contemporary dance, dance theatre, performance, and technology, in order to create performing arts projects. There is a focus on children and youth audiences, but also adult ones. Although not specialised in diversity, Baal strongly embraces it, welcoming diverse audiences as well as workshops for diverse people.
